Some dogs happily spend much of the day in the garden; others feel most at home indoors. When choosing accommodation for a boarding stay, it helps to start with the routine your dog already knows. At Slapaj we have 5 indoor and 5 outdoor kennels. If you are unsure which to choose, we can talk through what might suit your dog.
Indoor accommodation
Our indoor kennels are in an air-conditioned space. The photograph above shows one of them and its resting area. If your dog usually rests indoors at home, tell us when we discuss the accommodation.
Their individual routine matters too: when they like to settle down, how they respond to unfamiliar places and what kind of attention they need. We also offer calm individual activities for older dogs or dogs who are less comfortable with group play. We agree on the details before arrival.
Outdoor accommodation
The outdoor option is worth looking at if your dog spends plenty of time outside at home. At the end of this article you will find our own outdoor photographs, showing a feeding and drinking area and a moment in the yard. Alongside the indoor photograph, they give you a clearer picture of the setting.
Before choosing, let’s talk about the season, your dog’s habits and any particular needs. Enjoying time outside does not tell us everything about how a dog likes to rest. If you have questions about the space, we can show you around in person.
Rest and activities at their own pace
How your dog feels around other dogs matters as much as where they rest. Tell us how they behave in company and what activities they enjoy. If they prefer a quieter time and individual attention, let’s talk about that before they arrive.
If this is your first visit, our free one-hour meet-and-greet gives you a chance to look around and ask questions. Please arrange the time with us in advance.
What does a stay cost?
The current base rate is 100 lei for outdoor accommodation and 130 lei indoors per 24 hours. A first stay of less than a day is also charged at one full daily rate. The final amount is calculated at departure using the actual time between arrival and departure; the amount shown when booking is an estimate.
Each full day is followed by one hour of grace. After that, half the daily rate covers up to a further 12 hours, beyond which the total moves to the next full daily amount. For example, a 26-hour stay has a base charge of 150 lei outdoors or 195 lei indoors.
Booking and arrival
Enter your exact arrival time and planned departure time, then choose the accommodation. Your booking is confirmed automatically if a suitable kennel is available for the whole period. If you are bringing several dogs and would like different types of accommodation for them, please speak to us before booking.
If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge at least 12 hours before arrival. Later cancellation or a no-show adds 50 lei to your next booking. We always agree on a handover time in advance.
